 Who is an Accredited Investor?

You may qualify as an accredited investor if you meet at least ONE of the criteria below:

Income
-Your net income before taxes exceeded $200,000 in both of the last two years and you expect to maintain at least the same level of income this year; OR
-Your net income before taxes, combined with that of a spouse, exceeded $300,000 in both of the last two years and you expect to maintain at least the same level income this year;

Financial Assets
-You alone or together with a spouse, own financial assets worth more than $1 million before taxes but net of related liabilities.

 Does being NON-Accredited Disqualify Me?

Short answer is 'not necessarily'. It Depends on the Deal and what type of offering it may be.

If it is a 506(b) type of offering you would simply have to qualify as a 'Sophisticated' Investor and have a prior Relationship with the team offering the opportunity to invest.

 What is the length of the investment?

The length of an investment depends on the specific property.

Generally speaking, most syndications are a 5 to 7 year hold.
